posted 03/07/2009 The MABLL will host the 2nd Annual US Box Lacrosse Championships from August 21-23, 2009 at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD. The event will bring together the best American box lacrosse teams and players for a 3-day championship tournament. The tournament is for players who are at least 18 years of age and US Citizens.
The tournament will be one of the premier events of the newly formed American Box lacrosse Associaition. CLA rules will be used including a 30-second shotclock.
The USBLC has a maximum field of 10 teams with teams already committed from:
Washington, DC
Baltimore, MD
Philadephia, PA
Burlington, VT
Chicago, IL
Denver, CO
Boston, MA

The MABLL will add 30 second shotclocks beginning with the 2009 Summer Season. The shotclocks will be reset for a goalie save, shot off the goalpost or opponent possession. The shotclocks are 18" x 18" and have a loud buzzer when the expire. Upon expiration, a player in possession of the ball MUST drop it where he stands or a delay of game will be called. The shotclocks will have hooks attached and will be hung from the glass above each goal. The wireless controller will be kept at the scorekeepers table. This will help enhance play and bring us inline with the CLA Box Lacrosse Rules of Play.
